Having The Right Tools

Basic knowledge of the 4 P’s of Marketing (Product, Price, Promotion, and Place) makes you as much of a Marketer, as having access to a hammer makes you a carpenter.

Business professionals, and organizations for that matter, focus on acquiring business tools at an alarming rate with an impetuous impatience. There is a minimal understanding of the true potential of these tools and, at best, a superficial commitment to application, creativity and strategic use.

Stop, breathe, and, think about the most insightful way to apply the physical and conceptual tools you have or may acquire. As George Henry Lewes eloquently stated, “Insight is the first condition of Art.”

With lack of conscious thought, on when and how to use the right tools, your mind could end up like my garage — full of home improvement tools that continue to gather dust. And now, that the warranty is over, there is no way to get my money back!
