I have a confession. I have never been much of a reader. Maybe because I read for a living, I don’t read outside of work. There have been a few friends that have done an admirable job serving as my intellectual conscience — I read everything they give me to read.
My friend Judi, under the influence of multiple glasses of wine, actually described me as being “intellectually lazy”. Maybe tongue in cheek, but the challenge to me was to read more, to write more, to push myself further, as I had so much more to offer. Such are my friends….
I embraced the challenge to read books from a broad spectrum of topics — books that change the way I look at the world, and process information. My goal is to read on a daily basis and to stop being “lazy”. I hope to share some of these lessons in these pages.
Time to hit the books.
