Homeward Bound

It’s been a whirlwind five days in Reykjavik. We experienced gorgeous waterfalls and brilliant geysers. We walked through a greenhouse tomato plantation, watched whales in the wild and soaked in the mineral rich waters of the blue lagoon.

The educational program was equally rewarding. Listening to global experts on climate changes and seeing the entrepreneurial ingenuity around the Cod fish at the Ocean Cluster House were simply brilliant. The visit to Solheimar, a small village that cares for the mentally disabled showed us that God’s work continues around the world.

I am excited to head home and meet my son and cater to the dogs. However, I am leaving a piece of my heart behind in Iceland. I have a feeling I will be back soon to see the northern lights, and to enjoy the sights and sounds of this beautiful country.
