Sixteen days of hotel rooms, fancy foods, life without my dogs, probably more wine than could be good even for my spare liver, and finally we are heading home. Prague, Como, Milan in the books. Valrico, Florida and my ugly dogs await. I feel so blessed to have travelled the world to create new memories.
Every journey brings with it its unique experiences. New faces, and new places. I am a history buff fascinated with old castles, and ancient places of worship of any religion. I am also fascinated with old graveyards, that tell untold stories of the lives of those that now rest in peace. The more I travel, the more I grow. Yet, it is a great reminder for me to continue to cherish my small world in my humble home in suburbia. There is no greater joy than to sleep in one’s own bed. The familiar has its own magic.
I count my blessings that I get to enjoy the beauty and diversity of the world around us. Yet, my home, my pillow and simple life await. I look forward to going back to my every day life. Almost home…
