There is a silent code to successful matrimony for us men who have been married a while. We live in a world where our wives are always right, where their needs are front and center and where walking on eggshells is an art form. 

We have learned that when Mama is happy, everyone is happy, and when Mama is not happy, no one is happy. The lesson is simple — keep
mama happy. I have also learned that the silent treatment is significantly more dangerous than the occasional rant.
