Finding committed people to work for you is an art and a blessing. I wish companies would do more for the people who make them successful everyday. Finding the right people is about a shared vision and a belief in a common goal. Providing them the tools and resources to do their jobs goes a long way in keeping them happy.
I recently read an article about the worst companies to work for in America. How do the leaders of these companies sleep at night? I would bury my head in the sand and not come up for air if my people said that about our small business.
Why do companies focus on making money at the expense of the very people who make them all that money? Love the paradox. Hate the implications.
I raise my right hand and promise that I will work hard to improve the lives of the people who make our business a success on a daily basis. Anyone willing to join me in this pledge?
