As I contemplated what to write about today, I received the incredible news that the full-time MBA Program at the Sykes College of Business at The University of Tampa (UT), was ranked in the top 100 Best Graduate Business Schools in the country by Business Week.
Our #78 rank is an incredible accomplishment, and a validation of the collective efforts of a generation of students, educators, staff and administrators — it truly does take a village. Excellence is never an accident, and there are no short cuts to greatness.
As the years have rolled by, there have been many of us who have had a steadfast belief in the work we do, and the wonderful young women and men we educate. We have suffered through the rough times, but never quit. We labored on tirelessly, and never stopped believing.
I am blessed to call UT home, and proud of the hustle through the good times and the bad — day in and day out. There has been an emotional rush today that our efforts have finally been recognized. In some insane way, the work just got harder.
Time to uncork the bubbly. Let the party begin. GO SPARTANS.
