Leadership

I am no leadership expert.  Period.

Yet, I have been around inspirational leaders and competent managers who are marginal leaders, at best. There are few people that inspire me in the professional realm.  Dad was the absolute best, but that’s for another day and another story.  

None of the those that inspired me were elected, or appointed, or carried a big stick.  They were charismatic and passionate, and inspired me through their actions. They led by example.  And when they spoke, people listened.  

Inspirational leadership is an art. And when we see such a leader, we know it in an instance.  Such is the power of those that inspire us to do our best.  Such is the void that remains.
