Twitter and Meta laid off thousands of workers and crushed the dreams and livelihoods of their families. These heartless billionaires are devoid of human sentiment and lack even an ounce of heart. Shame on them. They are not leaders — they remind me of the blood sucking leeches that we encountered as children.
As my daughter articulated, “layoffs in tech have been increasing steadily. Which points out something huge: these companies are not run efficiently. If you’re laying off thousands of people you grew too quickly and irresponsibly and don’t know how to operate a business”. Touché.
Besides these so called leaders lack compassion, kindness and the skills to operate effectively. I wonder how those that trample over the lives of the very people who made them successful, sleep at night. Shame on them. They clearly don’t get the human connection. That is tragic. They should also be careful — a higher power above watches and waits till judgement day.
