We pay lip service to peace and to cultural, racial and ethnic integration. And then we rely on innuendo, politics and barriers to solve our problems. We go back to same old, same old.
Come spend a few hours at the Montessori schools and learn from our three and four year olds. They are the kindest, most accepting children. They have no agendas and don’t see color or race or economic status. They put us adults to shame — and they don’t even have to try.
Instead of always trying to teach our children, maybe it’s time for us to learn from them. Maybe then we can be a little bit kinder to each other, and those around us.
