Unfortunately, the demons of the past continue to bother us, and the hurt of the past defines who we are, and how we react. Shedding the baggage is easier said than done. Especially when the hurt is directly proportionate to the love and the let down.
“Come to closure — mend the fences, life is short”, was sage advice from a good friend. You have to let it go, especially when those involved are close to heart. I am already taking steps in that direction.
Why is it that the hurt is the deepest, from those we love the most?
