Life’s Curve Balls

“Writing is an Intellect’s way of bleeding”
gypsy-nomadic-soul

Maybe it’s time for me to “bleed” again. It’s been almost seven months since I put pen to paper. While I am no intellect, life’s curve balls froze something within me. It’s been exactly seven months since I lost my sister Ranjana to cancer. I lost my will to write, and to engage with the world around me.

It’s been a difficult seven months but dealing with deep personal loss is never easy. My story is certainly not unique in any way. We all deal with loss and suffering. It’s the ultimate price we pay for love. We teach ourselves to put our broken hearts together and find pockets of happiness with those around us.

A recent trip to India to visit family was a beautiful reminder to create memories and cherish moments of togetherness. Surrounding myself with those I love was the perfect catalyst to get the creative juices flowing again. My head and my heart have been itching to write. Stay tuned for what lies ahead….
