Portugal is an ancient culture with a modern day pizzazz. The cobble stone streets and ceramic facade of old buildings give it a touch of a bygone era. The old palaces of Sintra and the breathtaking beauty of the Atlantic Ocean give it a unique charm.
It’s rewarding to travel again. To learn about new people and new places. Maybe if we learn to live and let live, this senseless killing of the innocent will stop. No one ever wins a war. We all lose when families get destroyed and the old have to bury their young.
Maybe we should celebrate our differences and enjoy the beauty of the heritage that lies all around us. Maybe then, we can truly be called the human race.
