Love Flows Freely

As we walked the corridors at Moffitt weaving our way to various appointments, I couldn’t help but notice the throngs of patients and caregivers and  medical professionals.

Amidst the pain and suffering, and the battles that lay ahead, I noticed that there was a lot of love and affection. There were a lot of hugs to go around. Lots of love and gentle touches. Lots of caring and nurturing and pockets of hidden strength.

Maybe that’s what we all need, particularly when the chips are down — anything that makes us feel human and  normal, even if it’s for a short time.
