You could see the love between them. It showed in how they spoke to, and touched each other with affection. Flirtatious, dressed to the hilt, looking at each other with love in their eyes.
I couldn’t help but admire this elderly couple, at the top of the world, celebrating life, and each other. They posed bashfully as I took some pictures for them. They told me that they planned to send these photos to their grown children. I was deeply moved.
Love and passion are not the exclusive domain of the young and the bold. Love transgresses age and youthful exuberance. It manifests itself in kindness and the familiar. And knowing that relationships sometimes take a lifetime to build. It shows in the little things we do for that one special person who makes life worthwhile, and truly worth living.
