Lucky Street

The parking lot at the Lucky Street garage was packed with cars and people entered the Hard Rock Casino with dollar signs in their eyes. The smell of smoke hung as a thick blanket and the ding of the slot machines was unmistakeable.

The gamblers fed their coins into the belly of these machines with monotonous consistency. The desire to win overtakes the reality of losing. The truth is that the house always wins. Always has, and always will.

Casinos are an interesting place to study human behavior.  As Robert Herjavec said on Shark Tank — everyone wants to be rich and everyone wants to be thin. The reality is that here is no easy path to that type of glory.
