Marketing Students of the Year

What does it take to be recognized as the best?
An inordinate amount of hard work, a silent drive to succeed, and a sense of purpose and commitment that is steadfast.

Last week, I had the privilege to present the KEN JENSEN MEMORIAL MARKETING STUDENT OF THE YEAR AWARD at UT.
Meet Meredith Brown and Caralyne Kootz – our deserving winners.

Meredith has a perfect 4.0 GPA and is living out her fantasies, as she starts her dream job with DISNEY, in May.
She has a spirit of giving and a kindness of heart that goes beyond the stereotypical rigors of business.
She has exceptional skills, but was not deemed to be good enough by 6 universities, to be admitted to college. Their loss has been our gain.

Cara Kootz is among the best and the brightest students that I have taught in the past few years. Smart, driven, academically brilliant and a vibrant personality to boot.
I had the privilege to get to know Cara on a study abroad trip to Chile and Argentina. Personable and charming in every sense of the word.
Cara starts on pursuing her MBA degree this Fall.

These young ladies make teaching fun. To see the fruits of their labor, and our guidance,  come together in harmony to breed success, is the ultimate reward for an educator.
The world is their oyster and their journey to greatness has just begun.
They are a wonderful reminder of why I became a teacher.
CONGRATULATIONS LADIES – GO GET ‘EM.
