Twenty Fours years ago, with a knot in my stomach, I took the martial plunge!
Over these years I have learned some undeniable truths — about myself and about our relationship. Here are my top 10:
10) I am pretty lost without her. I am glad she still keeps me around.
9) I politely avoid arguments with her. I have no chance at winning one!
8) She has taught me to love my ugly dogs.
7) Relationships are hard work. We never take each other for granted.
6) She has taught me to find joy in simple things. Flowers. Fish. Wine.
5) She hides money, as if it is her birthright. Maybe it is?
4) She anchors our family. She is the glue that binds us together.
3) She takes credit for everything that I do. I guess that is her birthright too.
2) To grow as a couple we must grow as individuals. She lets me live my life.
I would marry her all over again. And again. And again…
