Common stereotypes about today’s young generation is that they are self absorbed, lazy and entitled. Not sure I agree with any of these sentiments.
I have spent my career around twenty one years olds, and today’s millennials are very different than what they are made out to be. I see them in my classrooms, they visits me in my office, I help them with the typical guidance that college students need.
They are kind and compassionate, and they are respectful and driven. Yes, they are college students and some of them want to work less and play more. How is that different from any generation of college students?
These millennial myths are just that — myths. I’ll take this gang over the “seasoned professionals” any day of the week, and twice on Sunday’s!
