A number of Charter Schools in the Tampa Bay area have been slapped on the wrist for non-compliance with State mandates and guidelines. The problem? Their non-profit mission is inconsistent with the profit motives that drive their operations.

Good organizations define their mission and use it to provide strategic direction and as a moral compass to create social capital for their communities. Those that abuse the system should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
