Tomorrow, Rohini and I will celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary. WOW. I never thought that anyone would put up with me for that long. I am blessed in more ways than one that she never gave up on me, and continues to be my greatest champion.
Two beautiful children, three ugly dogs, and a gentle kindness of spirit have been her greatest gifts to me. The picture above captures the essence of her personality. She has a tranquil presence about her; yet the still waters do run deep. A natural beauty, inside and out, nature is her solace away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
She is happiest at home with her dogs, with her hands in the mud, working with the children and sipping her daily glass of wine. She has taught me about giving selflessly, about loving unconditionally, and about not sweating the small stuff. And about loving dogs!
Relationships are supposed to make us better human beings, and she has certainly done that for me. I guess I just got lucky. Time to pop the champagne and to celebrate my girl.
