Tomorrow I get to see new faces on campus, and in my classes — eager to learn, and soak in the college experience. First days are always “butterflies in the gut” kind of days. A little excitement, a touch of apprehension, and a sprinkle of first day jitters.
It happens to all of us, students and faculty alike. When you care enough about doing your best, a little nervous energy is not necessarily a bad thing. All these years in the classroom, yet day one is always full of promise of a new beginning. Time to put my best foot forward.
