New Faces.  New Places.

Today we celebrated dinner with Paulo and his family at a quaint restaurant in Porto, Portugal.  He is a leader in high end textiles in this region, who works with some of the biggest fashion houses in the world.

More than his commitment to his craft, I was touched by his hospitality and his thoughtful demeanor. The wine and the conversation was satisfying in more ways than one.  I have a sense that our paths will cross again in the near future.

One of the things I love about travel is exploring new places and meeting new faces.  There is no book in the world that can teach us the life lessons that stem from new perspectives from the lives of good, simple folks.  It truly is a gift that keeps on giving.
