No Time

no-time

When we say we have no time, what we really mean is that the task at hand is not a priority. Whether it is a missed assignment, a broken promise or operational delays, ‘no time’ is a message that says “it is not important.”

We tend to get to, and complete, the tasks that are important to us.
We tend to brush aside the things that are banal. Maybe that explains why an assigned task that should have taken all of three minutes to complete, took four days. “I am really busy” was the explanation.

Procrastination is probably my greatest weakness. Yet I find time for things that are important to me. I have to teach myself to find time for others and their needs.  Empathy is a good thing.
