Not There

As I stood on the tee box, staring down the fairway, my last swing thought was “don’t go left”. I swung the club, and hit the ball way right. Mission accomplished — I didn’t hit it left. Why didn’t  I tell myself to try and hit the ball right down the middle?

Golf is a great metaphor for life. Always thinking what not to do, rarely focusing on what to accomplish. The big difference? I have a better shot at life, than at golf. Love the game,  but I spend too much time hitting the ball in places where it does not belong.
