Old Buds

Old friends, are just comfortable. They allow us to build memories. As my friend Jerry messaged me yesterday, “Memories that transition the pain and pleasure that life gives to us to make it balanced.”

I don’t have to name these close buds. They know who they are, and what they mean to me in my life. They are men and women — all good people; all believe in family and getting the most out of life.

Some of them play bad golf and drink good beer. Some have walked with me through the major losses in my life. Some, even now, fight for life. All of them have touched my heart in special ways. And I am a better person for it.

Nothing like a couple of cold brews, some fine wine and some endless conversations, with these gems. Cheers boys and girls — you make life worthwhile.
