Degree in hand, they are ready to take on the world. Their smiling faces flood social media as they are ready to step out into the job market. They are ready. I know they are, because I have seen their character and their ability in my classes. They will do great things to change the world in wonderful ways.
I hope they remember, that it is more important to be kind than competent. To be more gracious in defeat than any victory they might celebrate. To be more giving to others then to pad their own pockets.
True success lies in these little things that make the greatest difference to humanity.
