Overwhelmed

The tears came early and easy today. As I celebrated my birthday, I was overwhelmed by the love, the celebrations, and all the presents. 
Four hundred children singing happy birthday at all the schools; lots of wine and lots of golf balls as presents — my team knows me well. 

At UT, the college of business team celebrated with home baked cookies and even my students got in the act with cup cakes and candles.  

To say I “feel the love” is the understatement of the year. I was touched, and humbled,  by their collective generosity and love. When we give of ourselves, we get back ten fold.  Today was a beautiful reminder of that reality.
