Panic Selling

wall-street

The recent blood bath on Wall street has resulted in sweaty brows, and heartburn, in more ways than one. Panic selling is never a good idea, neither is myopic thinking. The human tendency is do both with remarkable consistency.

The propensity to chase the dollar — at any cost — and to sacrifice long term value for short term gain has doomed many a company, and many an individual. It’s a little bit like wanting to jump out of a plane because of stormy turbulence. Sometimes, it is best to buckle up, and brace yourself. The landing might be rough, but you will have two feet firmly on the ground.
And, inevitably, the sun will shine again.
