Life can be so cruel sometimes. A 28 year old single mother succumbed to cancer leaving behind two small children and a heartbroken family. How does one provide solace to a 4 year old, except to hold him close? His life will certainly never be the same again.

These kind of losses shake ones faith in the Divine. What God would snatch a young lady in the prime of her life from her children? While Paula’s pain and suffering is over, it provides little comfort to an innocent child. Young children are not supposed to cope with death, and loss, and heartbreak. They are supposed to fly on the wings of dreams and find warmth in a mother’s lap.

When you feel the urge to complain about life not going according to plan — think of Paula, count your blessings and hold your children close to you. And say a little prayer for Paula’s family.
