Why do we spend so much time worrying about what other people think about us? Why do we change our behavior to be liked, to be accepted, to be appreciated by those, that in the long run, really do not matter?
We must learn to believe in ourselves, and be secure in our own abilities. I care about people who I love, and are an integral part of my life. What they think of me is relevant. The others don’t really count. Seeking social acceptance, for acceptance sake, is exhausting. Make sure those on the periphery of your life don’t dictate how you live it.
