Practice Tolerance

As we celebrated Easter, and family, hundreds were killed in terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka. Over time, we get desensitized to these attacks, till they hit closer to home. The death toll becomes a number.  We shake our head in disbelief and move on with our lives.

Acceptance, without judgement, is the first step towards a kinder world. We can certainly do our part by practicing tolerance and acceptance of other people’s religious views, political leanings and sexual orientations. Why can’t we just live and let live?

Let’s just focus on controlling our own behavior. Maybe — just maybe — we can collectively contribute to curbing this incomprehensible violence. We would all benefit from kindness in our every day lives.
