Should an organization stand their ground, on principle, when they have been wronged by the very employees they have invested in over the years? Or should they take the path of least resistance?
The easier path is just that — easy. It eliminates the potential of stress and, as a result, they bow to those at fault, because “it is not worth the trouble”. The path of principle says organizations must fight for what is right, and let the chips fall where they may.
Practicality will have to take a back seat as company’s focus on doing the right thing — not the easy one. Who said business, or life, was easy?
