The holidays are in the rear view mirror, and next week I get to go back to my haven — the classroom. I am looking forward to meeting a new crop of students and changing lives.
The classroom is my safe place. I love the energy, the interaction, and the focus on learning. It’s a beautiful two way street. They teach me a lot too about their world, about myself, and I draw from their infectious youthful energy.
I have spent the last 35 years around twenty somethings. They keep me young. The vibrancy of a college campus is the gift that keeps on giving.
My goal is to enable my students to explore their own potential. It’s magical when it comes to fruition. It’s going to be a great year!
