I took my sister, Ranjana, to Moffitt Cancer Center for her tests, and it is always a stark reminder of human vulnerability. The uncertainty that stems from this disease is visible in the eyes of the patients and their caregivers.
One can see the signs of the physical debilitation of the disease and the emotional toll it takes on the lives of those that suffer. It’s a sad place, but also a place of hope, for those that fight for life.
Spend a day at Moffitt and you will learn very quickly that you have no problems. I will say a silent prayer tonight for those that suffer and those that fight to end this dreaded disease. May they find comfort in these trying times.
