Meet little Elian Garcia. He loves wrestling and football, but is now fighting for his life. Elian is battling cancer and the children at our Montessori schools have decided to do something to help Elian and his family. Next week, the children at all three schools will participate in a festive “Trike-a-thon” to raise money for this sweet boy.
It’s a special cause and a special lesson for our children – learning to give of themselves at a young age. Elian visited the school recently and read books and enjoyed learning with his new friends.
Being a socially responsible organization should not be a marketing ploy or a public relations opportunity. At its core, social giving should be about making a positive difference in the lives of people in the communities where we live and play. Our Montessori family takes this responsibility very seriously.
Elian was dressed up as a wrestler for Halloween. How appropriate. I know this little fighter will beat this monster. Way to go little buddy – we are all in your corner!
