As world leaders meet on Sentosa Island in Singapore to discuss denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, I choose to focus on the meaning of the word Sentosa. It means Peace and is derived from the Sanskrit word “Santosh”, which is commonly used in Hindi.
We could all use a little more peace in our lives, in our interactions with each other, and in our communities. We must learn to
live and let live. We must learn to lend a helping hand and practice empathy and compassion.
We may not solve the problems of the world, but we can certainly spread some cheer in our own lives, and the lives that we touch.
