Overlooking the beautiful city of Prague, and nestled adjacent to the ancient castle, sits a small winery. They recently hosted a wine tasting of 280 varieties of Italian wines. I learned about grape varieties that I did not even know existed.
Wine is big business and the experts were out in full force, taking in the bouquet, swirling and tasting and discussing the wines. I am no connoisseur, but certainly have a nose for what I like. After tasting about a 100, the day was lost for sure.
Wine is my guilty pleasure. I probably drink too much of it, and probably too often. Guilty as charged. Wine, for me, is the perfect end of day elixir that drives away the stress and alters the mind just enough to make the days work seem all worthwhile.
We all have our Achilles heal —wine seems to be mine. There is no better way to unwind, than with a fine sip of magic in a bottle.
