Stop Taking Life So Seriously

Not_So_Serious
We have to stop taking life so seriously. While I agree with my bride that we all have our cross to bear, we have a tendency to sweat the small stuff when we have nothing serious to worry about. I am a worrier by habit. While Dad gave me all his splendid qualities, I also acquired his penchant for worrying.

We tend to worry about the behavior and choices of our children, our expectations from others that turn into major disappointments and about what life has in store. The result? We stop living in the moment and stop counting our blessings. I have always maintained that the only thing I can control is my own behavior. I have to stop worrying about the behavior of others. Besides, love should be unconditional — no questions asked…

My heart goes out to those families that have loved ones with serious disease and suffering — to those that are at the crossroads of broken lives and broken homes, for no fault of their own, and those who have lost loved ones — these are reasons for sorrow and heartbreak.

The global population is in excess of 6 billion people. Ninety Nine Percent of these people would trade places with any of us in a heartbeat.

Keep this in perspective and keep it real.

Time for gratitude and time to enjoy the moment.
