She is a leading dermatologist in the city. A rare combination of talent, brains and beauty. My wife and I are particularly fond of her. Beyond all her success and accomplishments, what never seizes to amaze me is her humility and her earthy simplicity. Rare. Novel. Unique.
I have now been bugging her for years to sit and do an interview with me, for this blog – “you know how shy and private I am,” she said to me with smile. Her story needs to be told. Her story needs to be shared. One of these days she will relent….
Usually, with success comes arrogance and humility goes out the window. It is common to beat ones chest and seek external validation from the sycophants and apparent “well-wishers”. Humility and success are strange bedfellows, and a rare combination, at best. I think we should strive for both, and when they come together in the same person, it makes for someone special.
