My recent emergency visit to the Wal-Mart Super Center in Sun City, reminded me why I don’t shop at the giant retailer. The store was crowded, dirty and, “stuffed” to the ceiling with every imaginable type of merchandise, except the electric kettle that I needed.
After what seemed like an eternity of pacing the aisles, I found someone to help me. I politely asked an Associate where I might find a small electric kettle. “It’s probably out there,” was the dismissive remark (with an unpleasant tone) as she pointed across the store in a general direction that was neither here nor there. That’s the second time it has happened to me this week — what is with these people? Did I mention that the check out lines were 12 deep on the way out?
After wandering aimlessly for over 15 minutes, I stumbled onto a short-term fix for my problem and left with a mental note never to return again. Low prices mean no service, long lines, clueless Associates (with bad attitudes) and super confusion in a store not designed for the faint of heart.
It also means that most of us are NEVER coming back. EVER.
