Individual talent is all for naught when egos compromise team dynamics. Give me a group of dedicated people who focus on team deliverables — without regard to their individual needs — and they can move mountains.
It’s difficult to check our egos at the door, when our top priority is to protect our turf. Self preservation is a basic human instinct. However, it’s not the best approach to solving corporate problems. Tough to think of the greater good, when all we can think about, is ourselves.
