There is a key difference between preaching and teaching. We preach to a set standard of an acceptable moral code and prescribed behavior. The code does not change. It is stagnant. Preaching is effective for the preacher – less so for the preached.
When we teach, we allow out students to explore their unlimited potential by taking them to the “threshold of (their) own mind,“ Gibran. There is an innate joy in the power of discovery. A powerful teacher is the catalyst, for the student, to lifelong learning. Light that fire, and watch from afar – the results are sheer magic.
