Read an interesting quote by John Shedd, in a student paper, earlier today: “ships in the harbor are safe, but that is not what ships are built for…”
We rarely accomplish anything till we step out of our comfort zones and test the waters. I have particular empathy for the multitude of international students who leave home to pursue their dreams in a far away land. I know their story. I am one of them.
I admire those who find the courage to step out on their own. To pursue new avenues. To risk it all in new ventures. To break what’s not broken, so they can rebuild for themselves, a better tomorrow.
Time to navigate the rough seas. The harbor may be safe, but it is a boring way to spend a life — rocking back and forth in one spot.
