The bags are packed, the excitement has been building for over six months, Zurich and Prague are in sight, and in a flash, a dear friend of the University passes away. Some travel plans are cancelled, others are altered dramatically. It is a whirlwind of limited information and even fewer choices.
The older I get, the more I have learned to respect and appreciate the fragility of life. Plans go by the way side as families deal with loss and focus on what’s important. Amazing how priorities sometimes get in the way of fun.
Life’s uncertainties have taught me not to sweat the small stuff. To love more, worry less, and to live out my dreams. And in the face of fragile circumstances, do the best I can.
