The Common Threads

London_Friends

It was wonderful to see old high school friends tonight. Catching up on 35 years in 5 hours is a bit of a time warp.
Still unpretentious …still nostalgic.

I have learned that people basically do not change — those that were self-absorbed then, are still self-absorbed today. What is fascinating is how different each of our journeys has been since we left school so many years ago.  We live in 3 different countries, have 3 distinctive careers and 3 very different perspectives on what is important today and in the future. Our world view is certainly unique. How can people who grew up together turn out so different?

The common threads that bind us are still alive and well. 12 years of living together in a boarding school created a bond that allowed us to pick up where we left off and it was fun to travel down memory lane.

Stay well my friends — till we meet again…
