The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires banks to have braille instructions at their drive through windows. Government regulation requires us to have seven handicap access toilets at each Montessori school when we have never had a child there with a physical disability that would require such an accommodation.
Obama-care is so complex that an expert lawyer I met yesterday is almost as bewildered about the regulations as I am. The government wants to create jobs on one hand, but forces small businesses to cut worker hours, or eliminate jobs all together, to accommodate health care regulations as we tackle the magic number of 49 employees. Talk about the tail wagging the dog!
We have all heard that the problem with common sense is that it is not very common, but there really should be no excuses for stupidity. Stop. Think. If it does not make sense — don’t do it. Now how difficult can that be?
