Meet the fall guy — the term is gender neutral — who everyone points fingers at, for anything that goes wrong. This individual is doomed for failure from the get go. The setup is perfect. They are held accountable and responsible for deliverables over which they have no control.
Every organization has one, or two, or three. Every executive needs someone to take the blame, while they nurse overpriced cocktails at happy hour, and that too on company expense.
The modus operandi is perfect. Everything that succeeds is because of “my” leadership. Failure is “his” fault. Rub his face in the dirt — the fall guy saves the day, yet again.
