The Fast Lane

Quick business trip to Chicago.
Airport-Hotel-Work-Airport-Home. I am clearly not a seasoned business traveler.

My hats off to the many who fight the TSA lines, deal with marginal hotel rooms, and overpriced airport amenities on a consistent basis. Those that travel for a living have earned my respect.

O’Hare is packed to the gills. The weather beaten are biding their time. Buried in their phones, sipping on overpriced wine, waiting to get home, or the next arduous business destination.

So glad I don’t travel for a living. I would have had to find an alternative career. I can’t wait to get home to the security of my life and to bask in the mundane of my daily chores.
