The Fragility of Life

A young woman battles the demons of an anxious mind.  A lady braces for the news after a battery of medical tests.  The brave ones battle cancer with a single minded focus.   We each carry our own cross with fortitude, or simple resignation of how little control we really have.

The hits keep on coming, yet most of us push through under the illusion that life is perfect.  We have to push through  — embrace each day, with all of life’s imperfections, as if it was our last.

Cherish each moment, because there really is no tomorrow. As Desmond Tutu wisely said, “ we are fragile creatures, and it is from this weakness, not despite it, that we discover the possibility of true joy.”
